Absolutely love Harris Teeter! The staff is always helpful and my experience is always pleasant. If you're in the need for a quick meal, don't be afraid of the hot bar or the salad bar; I highly recommend both!
I come here for the deals. There are regularly great deals on meats and coffee (whole bean and ground). There are often free samples and this is also a great place to get lunch. It can be busy at times, but the employees always seem friendly.

The store is very well-stocked and has good quality produce, meats, seafoods, etc. My bad review is based on the store's policy of treating island visitors badly. A frequent shopper ("VIC") card is necessary to get sale prices. We shop at Harris Teeter whenever we are on St. Simons, which is several times a year. At checkout last night, we asked to register for one and were told that the store only allows people who live on the island to have a VIC card. So, I guess Harris Teeter doesn't want our business- or the business of any of the many, many visitors to St. Simons.
I couldn't find any vegan options near here. Also my phone was dying. I went in and bought a phone charger and a salad from the salad bar. I sat in the waiting area and charger my phone while eating my salad. There were several power plugins in a nice waiting area. Several people came and went in this area.
