This is our favorite family vacation spot when we are in St. Simons. The beaches are always nice and clean and everybody you meet is friendly. Plus the water is always clean and warm as well. Nice place to bring your family especially the little ones.
Incredibly easy access to busy, but not crowded beach. Weather was great, water is warm. Stayed at King and Prince, walked 15 yards checked in with beach service for chairs a umbrella. Sat beach bag down and was in water within 7 minutes. Even if you brought your own gear, very easy!
Beautiful went there many times n my youth! Still love it as much today!
94 degrees out, didn't feel hot because of the breeze. Beach sand is packed for the most part. Changing station and community shower station were decent for men but restrooms could have been cleaner. They didn't reak of urine though, just wet floors. Parking is very convenient to the beach. There is a lot of debris alongside the upper portion of the beach due to "drift in". We are not beach bums though.
I was there in the winter, so not able to get full 'use' of the beach. Still beautiful. A bit out of the way too, so not as busy as some.
