I asked the waitress if she would check into it since it wasn’t consistent with the info given to me when I called. A young gentleman came to the table and explained he was the manager and was the one I had spoken to. He proceeded to explain to us that the happy hour price was only if you sat at the bar.
Food was good. Service, not so much. Brought coffee with no sugar. I requested sugar. She brought substitutes and no sugar. Slow service. Had to go to the bar for sugar. Took our silverware with appetizer plates. Meal came and we had no silverware. Had to wait for our bill.
Called yesterday to inquire about happy hour prices. Was given info.......$4.00/wine. Decided to go for dinner - sat on the patio and had a wonderful waitress. However, when the bill arrived, we were charged full price for the glasses of wine.
It's good, if you are on vacation at the beach. Their drinks are nice, and the setting has all the ambiance of a Sandy fish shack. The truth is, it's a great place for appetizers and cocktails, but only decent for meals. Most everything feels either frozen or prepared way ahead of time, and while the servers are all incredibly nice, they do little to dispel the belief that their food is anything other than commercial, bought in bulk fare. If you want to catch a buzz and some live music, then come on down. If you want to catch a great meal, then there are plenty of other options for that.
He apologized but was not willing to adjust the price quoted on the phone. There are numerous places both in the village and in Redfern where you can go for a nice happy hour and NOT have to sit at the bar.
Casual, fun atmosphere. A great place to meet friends after work or grab a bite after a day at the beach.
Excellent pepper buttered shrimp! Coconut shrimp also delicious! Live Music and good friendly service! Outdoor seating is a large wrap around deck with fans to keep the air moving keep ya cooler too when it's hot! I really like coming here for the atmosphere as much as the delicious seafood! Clean restrooms also. The location is definitely a good one since you can walk to many great shops, Neptune Park and the pier!
