I was a virgin crossfitter... This was a fantastic experience. Not only were the trainers/operators topnotch, and attentive, but as were the rest of the people there. It really had a family quality to the whole opperation, empasiszed by the children's play area (which encourages pulling, climbing, crossfit strength training). All in all; this exceded my expectations!
I am visiting SSI from Carmel, Indiana. I am 61 and have been doing Crossfit for 5 months. What makes this box special is the involvement of the owners, Ann and Todd, their staff, and the folks who workout there. I highly recommend this facility. Todd and Ann will look after you to be sure you are doing the movements correctly and getting the maximum benefit from your time in the gym.
I dropped in to CF Grit for 2 days while on vacation. Awesome box! Lots of space and quality equipment. Great coaches and great members! The WODs were challenging but fun at the same time.. I'm definitely looking forward to my next trip there, both to workout and see all the great folks there again! If I lived on St Simon's Island or in Brunswick CF Grit would definitely be where I would Crossfit.
